Let's see....whose opinion about Martin should a person put more stock in.....Gene Keady or the power 'puter chair coaches sipping FFeineFLASH with their Cheetos on VN? Hmmmm.....let's ponder....

A person should relax and see how things play out over a couple of seasons, honestly. The people dooming and glooming this already had their minds made up to be negative the moment Pearl was canned.

There's no reason to think that this coach can't grow into exactly what we all want.

Yeah. I was being too harsh, though. There are a lot of folks here that just don't like the hire for legitimate reasons. I think they may think Martin just won't achieve as quickly as some they have in mind might. I think he fits Tennessee well...but we'll see.

I love this hire, but come on Dean Smith supported Buzz so that logic won't hold up.

The comments about his leadership are what's important., I could care less about the endorsements former coaches give, but when they openly say he's the greatest leader he had in 50 years, it carries exponentially more weight.

Of course. Tell that to the "every coach says nice things about their former players" folks. It's *what* he said...not that he just made some offhand comments.
