So I am not up on recruiting this year like the years past as a move and new job have taken time away...

But if we keep all our current commitments, how many more DL/OL do you all think we need to add? I see 3 DL and 3 OL committed so far.

We will probably end up taking five offensive lineman, two defensive ends and three defensive tackles as I see it. Might end up taking one more defensive lineman depending on how the numbers shake out.

Hubbs on VQ thinks that were only going to take 1 more OL & that were saving that spot for Antonio Richardson. I'd like to land Paulay Asiata, I think he could be a very good OL for us.

We will probably take 3 more DT's. We want atleast 1 JUCO that can contribute immediately next season.

Very good to hear, in my mind the most glaring position of need.

2 DTs
1 DE
1 OL
1 whatever you call Cam Clear

Do we have a good shot at any JUCO DTs who "should" be able to contribute meaningful snaps next year?

We are in Couch's top 4 but I think it will be a hard pull.

I'd be surprised if we don't sign a JUCO DT this year.

What's our chances of getting Mickey Johnson and/or Gabe Wright?

Or who is the JUCO DT you think we have the best shot at landing?

Johnson has consistently named us in his top 3, the latest update has UT & Bama as his top 2. No chance with Wright, all Auburn.

Off the top of my head I'd say Couch, he named us in his top 4.

We have led for Johnson for a couple weeks now. I think we have a real shot there.

We are in Wright's top 3. I put nearly no stock in what he says publicly. We will be in it till the end.

Not sure of who we are really targeting besides Couch in the JUCOs.

If you are following what that kid says you are being led on a wild goose chase. He says there is a new leader every week. He loves this crap. Grades might also be an issue, I believe he was retaking the ACT.

I get the feeling LSU will be completing their DL with out of state players. Get good info on 2 high out of state recruits on the DL so I would not eliminate LSU from the picture but it certainly would not surprise me.

I say we take 2 more OL's with Richardson and Asiata. With Parker on board and the staff on top of Asiata, I think we will offer sooner or later. Hopefully, he is a take.

I want us to at least bring Asiata in and take a good look at him -- just have a feeling he might be a good one. However it has been a while since he first surfaced with us and we were supposed to get with him right after the coaches were turned loose on the recruits on Sept 1. It is beginning to look like the shortage of scholarships has killed our chances to get Asiata.

If we miss on either Richardson (who is a "who knows" at the moment) or Clear, we might want to take another look at Asiata, but I suspect that by that time it will be too late to build a relationship.

Also, it would not be the end of the world if we missed out on Richardson or Clear and just went with what we have now plus the one we get. I hope it does not come to that, but with either of those we are not in terrible shape at the moment.

I would not want to miss out on both of those, though, and was hoping to use one or both of them at DT.

I also see UT taking 5 OL and 4 DTs. I too would like to see Asiata get an offer. But, unfortunately, I think you may be right in that the lack of space just may keep the staff from pursuing him more intensely. That is unless they really saw Richardson or Clear eventually on the DL.

The question would then be would they take Richardson, Clear, Asiata plus 2 true DTs and forgo a take at another position?
