I have been negative and pessimistic about prior coaches. Also, it has been a long time since we, the fans, have had the opportunity to experience big wins. At the end of the game the fans missed thier opportunity to put the cherry on top of the most exciting, well coached and executed game in 15 years.

You inner voice is questioning...but Biggestvols, we stayed, we cheered what else were we supposed to do?

goalposts, Goalposts, GOALPOSTS! They are not put there to remain intact after we come, like a Mike Tyson sucker punch and pummel the 11th ranked team in the country! Just think about the pub, the recruits - ESPN headlines.

For you youngsters who are at the tip of the spear please watch the attached instructive video:

Tennessee Vs Florida 1998 football - YouTube

Disclaimer - there is much sarcasm and nothing I say should be taken seriously but in levity. Always obey the laws of the Great State of Tennessee. I do not condone the acts of the 1998 fans but it sure looks like fun.

Love the enthusiasm, bv...but WE ARE TENNESSEE! We do NOT tear down our goalposts after beating some sorry cocks...we're still on the way back, how 'bout we tear 'em down Saturday in trailer-town?:loco::rock::salute::shaking2:

The SEC fines the school if their students rush the field or court.

Which is also partially the reason why now the school has all that security that comes out around the edge of the field / near the stadium walls near the game's end.

Anyone who wants to tear down goal posts, either at home or away, is a half-wit. I am old enough to remember the riot and arrests after UTC tore down our goal posts. If anyone should step on Bama's field, I hope you are lucky enough to get the crap beaten out of you by a cop with a night stick. Then 90,000 people will not rip you to shreds.

After we tear down the goal posts can we start turning over vehicles and catching dumpsters on fire?

Maybe get in a shootout with a few officers? Snort some meth? Pick up some HIV from some prostitutes?
