Lucas should have retired in about 1995 and he'd be hailed as a genius. Since 1997 in those stupid re-releases of the originals, the awful prequel titles, and his constant tinkering with the original movies, he's pretty much destroyed any rep he had. Sure there will always be fanboys that worship him, but most people agree he's not great as a director and he sure as heck can't write a script anymore.

The scene was perfect; there's no reason to add Vader yelling "NOOO!" Lucas is just doing it because Vader's yell in Sith was panned so badly.
