George Quarles to Coach All-Stars

While I was reading Maryville DailyTimes article, I noticed George Quarles was coaching the East team at the US Army All-American Bowl.

Cool stuff! I wasn't aware. I knew that he was an Asst. last year but apparently he is taking the reins this year.

I couldn't find any information about it in this forum. So I had to do some research. Apparently it was announced back in Sept. (Old news, I know)ardon:

While I was reading Maryville DailyTimes article, I noticed George Quarles was coaching the East team at the US Army All-American Bowl.

I just saw this and was wondering if he is a Tennessee native. I'm in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia where a George Quarles coached at a couple of high schools in the 60s through the early 80s. Not the same one, of course, but I'm wondering if they could be related?

He's went to HS at Jeff County in East TN I believe.
