Why you ask? Returns not good enough? Nope

In a letter to investors, Soros' two sons cited impending industry regulation as a reason for returning the money the fund still oversaw for outsiders

Under the new Dodd-Frank Act, hedge funds will be forced to register with financial regulators, giving the Securities and Exchange Commission fresh insight into exactly how these generally secretive portfolios make money. But family offices are treated more leniently under the new regulations.

I'd retire too if regulations were about to see what you were really doing....

Agreed, but why state new regulations as the reason in the letter? He should have just said "I want to spend more time with family". At 81 with $25 Billion in the bank, not sure why he didnt do it earlier. Probably because of his ego.

So, even George Soros sees that his puppet Obama is out of control and causing such great economic pain that he himself must now get out of the investment game.. I kid I kid. :)
