Georgetown looks really good. They're a team that is awfully thin. Their starting 5 hardly come off the court. When I hear people trying to say that Tennessee is thin and run out of gas, I look at Georgetown and it sounds like a lame excuse. On the other side of the ball... Jon Scheyer averages 36 minutes a game. These guys have an excuse to be tired, but they aren't, they are playing at a high level. If Tennessee really is tired, then that raises some serious questions...

Duke can't stop Wright or Monroe, and they're not getting any good shots on offense.

Hahaha, there aren't a lot of things that make me happier than seeing someone hand Duke's internal organs to them. Seriously, the Dukies will be making another first weekend exit in the tournament. Believe that.

Georgetown is not very deep which is their downfall, but if you choose to settle in and play a half court game with them you are barking up the wrong tree. Solid team. They are punching Dook in the mouth right now.

They are now shooting 73% from the field. The next person that tells me Duke plays good defense is going to be ridiculed mercilessly for the rest of the season.

Watching Jon Scheyer try to stop competent guards is painful. He is a bigger and more athletic, but much dumber Greg Paulus

Its definitely starting to sound like a broken record in Dookville. Same story every year now. Mediocre defense surrounded by a lack of rebounding, with an offense based totally on the 3 point shot.

All of that equals early tourney exits, as they have shown. Coach K can harp all he wants to about not recruiting kids that are "one and done" types, and thats fine. But he should also inform his fanbase that the status they currently enjoy is the ceiling, if he is not willing to upgrade the talent.

After West Virginia bullied them out of the tournament two years ago, multiple people around the Mountaineer program told me Duke, with the type of personnel they have been putting on the floor, would be just another team in the Big East. They're absolutely right. Without the "Oh, My God!!! We're playing Duke!!!" chokes by teams like Clemson and Florida State to fall back on during league play, the Blue Devils would be scrambling to finish 5th or 6th in the Big East.

Dook has three problems. 1- Poor post play. We'll see how the Plumlees and Kelly play out, but generally, Dook's interior guys are stiffs. 2- Poor Point Guard Play. They haven't had a legitimate PG since Chris Duhon and he was merely average. 3- They're Eliteists. Their school and fanbase fail to recognize that they are no longer relevant on a national level. They act as if they have a God given right to be in the rankings and in the tournament, like they're some kind of dynasty. Sorry folks, that ship sailed when Battier and Williams left. I'm not sure why they can't get the big time recruits, but I don't think it's because Rat Face won't accept "one and done" players. I think many see how poorly many Dook players fare when they get to the NBA, and they choose to ball eslewhere. They bring in too many of what I call the typical Dookie. The Chris Collins/Wojo type, silver spoon fed, overhyped, mildly talented punks that like to run around sticking their tongues out and smacking the floor like they're Billy Badass. Give me a break.

Oh, and one more thing. Yeah, I'm a Tar Heel fan if it wasn't obvious, and I readily admit that they were overrated coming in to this season. But for the love of God, what business did Dook have being ranked even in the top 15? They were mediocre last year and what exactly did they add to the team to make them a Final Four contender?? If this were still the Cold War, and Duke was playing the USSR for our freedom, I'd be pulling for the commies!

I would have agreed the past couple of seasons. I do believe, that with the Plumlee's down low, Duke has a Sweet 16 run in them. They're still quite a bit away from where I wish they were, for the future.

It's tough to beat Duke at home. They would still win the vast majority of home games regardless of league.

I have a good friend who is a Duke grad and he has finally come to the realization that K's current business model is not going to work.

The elite teams in the Big East wouldn't give a damn about Cameron. It would be just a southern version of the RAC to them.

Cameron is a tough place to play, no doubt. But the top tier Big East teams would not be phased by a couple thousand over educated preps jumping up and down with eco-friendly painted faces. This is of course my opinion only.

Home court helps when athletes are equal. It does not help much when you are outmatched athletically, defensively, and the boards.

Not sure if the RAC is a fair example. Rutgers is unspeakably bad.
I'm not talking about personnel, just the venue. Clemson and Virginia Tech are down 15 before they get off the bus in Durham. Connecticut and Villanova wouldn't have that problem.

Or Syracuse, Georgetown, WV, and normally Louisville. The more you think about it, Duke would be mediocre in the Big East. Which you already suggested.

In my estimation, they would be the 5th best team this year. I guess that qualifies as mediocre.

2. 'nova
3. G-town
4. WVU
5. Duke
