I remember Georgia getting destroyed by Auburn in 2017. The score was 40-17…they had a rematch in the SEC championship and Georgia won 28-7. I bring this up only because it is hard to beat a good team twice in one year.

IF Tennessee makes it to the college football playoff, this could be an intriguing situation. As hard as it is to watch your team get beat, it COULD be a good thing…it all depends on how things play out and how this team fights adversity from a loss like this

Yup. Force a rematch and see if they can beat us again. If so, tip your hat. But I want to see if CJH could figure something out in a rematch for sure.

I seem to remember Karyon Johnson getting hurt also.

He ran all over GA in regular season then got hurt just before the SECCG.

Let's not pretend that was not a huge factor in why Ga dominated the second game. Hell, be was Auburns entire offense that season.

It happened to us in 2001. We beat LSU in the regular season and then lost to them in the SEC Championship. Kept Tennessee out of the National Championship game that year.

Said this earlier but think it’s appropriate here too.
I think we’ll learn from this, Georgia better hope they don’t play us in the playoffs.. they won’t have those muts barking all game making it impossible for our offense to get in rhythm.
The good thing about the playoffs is.. you get a chance for some payback.
