Georgia dismisses another projected starter

Back on topic...I’m of the opinion that UF and UGA’s pre-season defections and transfers will have minimal impact on the 2019 season.

UGA should still be the East’s clear favorite.

This year, no. But in 2020 or 2021, the lack of depth from 2019 attrition will bite you.

That’s an odd flex. It’s Brandon JAMES and he made a career out of torching Tennessee. You realize he was 4-0 versus UT, right? That guy was probably more responsible for the demise of Fulmer than anyone. UT fans turned on Fulmer because he couldn’t figure out how to NOT kick to that guy. He returned like 5 kicks for TD’s against you. Yet, that was the play you remember? 😂

You are right.....on that play, he got his JOHNSON knocked off.

Watched a video with James Coley, the new OC at UGA giving a practice re-cap.

Guy seems very Butch-ey. Lots of catch phrases and stupid little slogans.

Hopefully Kirby only promoted from within bc he's a weirdo control freak and wanted lower tier guys he could boss around.

“Almost winning a national title.” 😂. If that’s a thing, add 2001, 2012 to Florida’s list of achievements. Only a Georgia fan would list “almost” winning a championship as an accomplishment.

Georgia loses to Florida, A&M, Auburn and then they’ll drop another one amongst; Tennessee, SC or Missouri. I don’t trust Notre Dame to do anything. I think UT could beat UGA in Knoxville.

Oh, and Georgia has always had these bang-up recruiting classes, going all the way back to the 90’s. Nobody has gotten less bang for their buck from a recruiting standpoint than Georgia. You don’t hang banners for recruiting classes.
Funny how you attribute that post to a UGA fan when it was a UT fan just calling you out for these stupid takes. The "bang-up" recruiting classes thing is just comical. Richt NEVER recruited at this level, neither did Donnan or Goff .. hell, not even Dooley outside of pulling in Herschel. Again, clearn up your own team's distractions then worry about what's going on in UGA. I posted an article showing you how Cox was literally fighting to take the backup role and you just keep your schtick going. You're like the UF version of D4H and I don't mean that as a compliment.

That describes about 98% of football coaches. I think Vol fans got so frustrated at Butch doing this that we think he was the only one who does it.

The greatest coach in the history of the sport is famous for "the process." In press conferences he talks about "opportunities" and "do your job." The only reason it hasn't gotten old is because he wins. He would be run out of Tuscaloosa so fast it'd make your head spin if after yet another disappointing loss he implored the fans to "trust the process."

Meh, decent hit. It wasn’t exactly Lawrence Wright on Joey Kent, but it was decent. I’m pretty sure James took another one to the house about 3 plays later. 😂

There’s room, but before pulling out a chair I’ll need to get your opinion on Roy Williams.
As in Basketball coach Roy Williams or Australian Rules Football Player Roy Williams .. couldn't care less about either honestly

I’m seeing reports that former 5-star and projected starter at DE/OLB, Brenton Cox, has been dismissed by Georgia.

The Georgia pass rush and front seven didn’t exactly strike fear in anyone to begin with, and now they lose this guy. Georgia fans will be here shortly explaining this one away and attempting to convince everyone that they’ll be fine, but they have had a ton of distractions down there this offseason.

Kirby has lost control.
I hate Georgia more than any team in the SEC right now. Tennessee recruits against Georgia more than they do anyone else and they are absolutely killing us right now on that front. Now, having made that clear... this narrative is just not accurate. Georgia is incredibly loaded with young talent in the front seven.

Georgia Depth at "JACK" Linebacker

1) Azeez Ojulari (Redshirt Freshman) / Jermaine Johnson (Junior)

2) Adam Anderson (Sophomore) / Nolan Smith (Freshman)

3) Robert Beal (Redshirt Sophomore)

By my count, those are three 5 star players, and two 4 stars with four of the five still being underclassmen. Georgia has an embarrassment of riches and they are very young.

It was a great hit, but Janzen took the worst of it. Brandon takes the shot, then pounds the turf, pissed off about not making the catch. Janzen lays on top of Brandon dazed and confused, and left the field visibly woozy. UF wins the game.

Meanwhile, Joy Kent got blasted, bit through his tongue, fumbles the ball. UT lost big, then Kent goes back to Knoxville to have his significant other sexually assaulted by roommate Nilo Silvan while recovering from his injuries.

There’s no comparison.

This was awfully random and seems out of place here? But since you brought it up for some reason, Nilo Silvan was cleared of those charges by the grand jury just three months later.

Perhaps, but it was still a crappy week for Kent.

That was my point.
I also don't understand why Florida fans make such a big deal out of the Wright hit on Kent. It was a nice hit but the turnover itself was of no consequence to the outcome of the game... Tennessee scored a TD on the very next play anyway to take the lead 30-14. Jay Graham's 2 fumbles were much more central to the outcome of the game (and Tennessee being completely lost in the secondary, with no pass rush).

Exactly. Which is why it was a weird flex from the beginning.

It was a legendary hit when the UF-UT game was a huge national presence. One of the loudest moments (of many) in Spurrier’s Swamp. It wouldn’t be a huge deal if Florida had not gone on to win the game in dominating fashion. It’s more symbolic than anything. That hit sorta defines the dominance of the series in one play.

I watched a little of the 2018 SEC championship game last night, it was being replayed on SEC Network. Cox was playing in that game in critical moments as a true freshman. Georgia’s released post-spring depth chart had him listed as a starter, not my depth chart, Georgia’s.

I realize Cox obviously fell out of grace via a bad attitude or something, but coming out of spring and based on how he was used as a true Freshman, this guy was being counted on. To suggest otherwise, is spin.
