I watched the 2nd half again just bcuz it was exciting and the crowd gave me chills. Obviously I quit watching after UT went ahead lol.

This is probably a stupid question to ask because it would be hard to tell from going back and watching a video. There was a point when people that went to the game said it got deafening and got even louder to a next level which made the stadium vibrate. Anyone that went to the game at least have a time frame for when that happened?

It was in the second quarter, their touchdown drive (10 min mark?). 3rd and 1 and the crowd was loud. Murray checked at the line and the noise SURGE was INCREDIBLE. We tackled #22 for a 3 yard loss (but they converted on 4th and 4 on the next play and eventually scored).

I have been to almost 100 games at Neyland and and those 2-3 seconds were the loudest I have ever heard it.

I can't remember exactly when - like you, I've been coming to games for many years (graduated in the 70s) - never in my life have I heard anything like that - the "noise-surge" was incredible!!!:clapping:

It was loud. Then went up louder.. Then to another level. That was the loudest I've ever heard it at Neyland, and I've been to a lot of games.

I think that was probably the loudest I have ever heard it too. I honestly believe that almost every person in that stadium was yelling, screaming, or whatever, as loud as they could. I know I was. I like it too when they put that thing up on the jumbotron that says for the crowd to get LOUD, and then LOUDER. That's pretty neat and I think it does help. Plus the players on the sideline were going nuts trying to get the crowd to get louder and louder.

Thanks! I am in Thailand for a few more weeks and had to miss the game. My normal Justin TV crashed at kickoff. #$%^&*
