Georgia in Neyland week 3?!

If we play well over the next two games, I expect us to see UGA in the ATL on Jan. 20, 2025. We must arrive in Columbus with bad intentions, then return home, recoup, to head West and lay it all on the line in Pasadena.
I realize many don’t believe we stand a chance to advance much beyond the first round, but I have a sneaky suspicion this team is ready to explode on some folks.

Georgia always seems to start their year off slow, so this may help us, especially since the Dawgs will likely be starting a new QB.
He won’t be new by then.

He’s already starting in the College Football Playoff. Beck is out for the season.
Gunner Stockton is the guy for the rest of 2024 and the beginning of 2025.

If we can beat Ohio State in Columbus.
I won’t be mad if the boys fall in Pasadena.

That’s a huge ask for ANY team to beat
- Ohio State
- Oregon
- Texas
And the play a National Championship.

I’ll be very proud of them if we can survive round 1.

It’s unfair to both Ohio State and Tennessee to have to play in the 1st round while Boise State gets a 1st round bye. This is a National Championship caliber matchup.

There are five, maybe six, legitimate NC contenders in the field, and the VOLS would have to play four of them to win it all (barring a crazy upset). Having to play at an opponent’s stadium at night is a tremendous disadvantage to start the gauntlet with. I wouldn’t even be mad if we lost in Columbus (as long as we just don’t come out flat); We’ve exceeded expectations on the year and made the playoffs… and we should be better next year.

I’m proud regardless. This is a successful season.

Should be more worried about a night game in Columbus on the road than a Georgia meeting in ATL. In my opinion OSU defense is right there with GA. Their offense is better. People here aren’t giving them credit bc they just don’t like them and they get hyped every year. People better wake up. Next Saturday will be a battle.

I do not like our odds with UGA being so early on the schedule. We have to rebuild both offensive and defensive lines and UGA has established 4 and 5 star players on both lines.

This year our OL was not truly set until the weekend before the first game. It should have been set coming out of spring practice so they could have meshed all summer. That will be disastrous against UGA on the second Saturday in September.

The top game in the country week 3 (far superior to lsu and Florida).

Two playoff teams battling early in the season.

Gameday will be in Knoxville unless catastrophe happens the first two weeks.

Night game for the vols almost assured.

And one would assume checkered Neyland.

This might work in our favor, they will be breaking in a new QB. Getting them early is a good thing in our case.

And he's no slouch. And prob has a better team player mindset than Beck.

As a whole for the conference I agree with you. However, like them or not OSU is loaded with talent. Much greater than us on paper. I think we can win this game, but it has to be our best game of the year with minimal mistakes. If we perform as we have on the road the rest of the season it could be a long night. We need our first full 4 quarters of football on the season.
