Georgia Southern at Appalachian State

This is probably for the Sunbelt Conference Championship and will be a very interesting game. I think Georgia Southern wins 34-27 over Appalachian State in a tough close game.

I went to this game last year in Statesboro. It was a good time. Last year GA Southern looked like they were the only team to make the transition up from D1-AA. I've heard App has really improved since last year.

I think Georgia Southern will go the New Orleans Bowl while Appalachian State will go to the Camellia Bowl in Montgomery

I would think playing Sunbelt Conference teams and teams like Florida,West Virginia or Georgia would be a better selling point to recruits than being an FCS team in the Southern Conference.

5 of the 11 schools in the Sunbelt are relatively new to the FBS level, so they are playing among their peers. New Mexico State and Idaho are traditionally terrible because of location, and Troy has struggled recently. Arkansas State and the two Louisiana schools should probably be the front runners and most consistent on a regular basis.

Do you think Chattanooga will be in the Sunbelt in the future? I think UAB will be in the Sunbelt in a short period of time when they restart football in a couple of years.

Probably a good conference to start in, considering the current schools.

Oh that would be a bad idea, my husband went to gsu and it would not be a good day in our house!
