Want to talk about a high pressure situation....Sewak got fired yesterday to much of a cheer from many fans but to the dismay of the media....I guess if you scream loud enough (at least those with the $$$$$$$) results can happen.

Who's going to want that job now? He only won 70% of his games.

Erk Russell gets what Erk Russell wants. If you coach at GA Southern, a program that the founder of the Junkyard Dawgs started and brought to prominence, you cannot allow an opposing team to put up 50 plus points in a playoff game. That is just a fact. I am from south GA and I watched every snap. It was an embarassment.

Off subject, I like the Bad Santa avatar Lex. That was a funny movie.

Thanks. Just trying to get into the Christmas spirit, and give Honky Tonk a rest.

Sewak was doomed from the start. 1) He was an unpopular choice from day 1 sort of like Ron Zook 2) There was only one direction for the program to go after Paul Johnson left; 2) Sewak wrote his obituary when he fired Erk Russell's son. 4) The defense has been an absolute embarassment.

BTW - I actually had lunch in Statesboro today and happened to see a newspaper. The story of Sewak's firing is the headline on the top of the front page.

Was it the local paper or the Savannah Morning News? They do an excellent job of covering the program.

How are things in the Boro? There are days that I really miss the "Coastal Empire".

I didn't even notice which paper it was. I ate at the Loco's just off the GSU campus and just happened to notice this huge headline on the paper in the paper box as I was walking inside.

It's insane the way the boro is growing so fast.
