Being located in the middle of a metro area with a population of 5 million and playing games in a 70,000 seat domed stadium right down the street doesn't hurt either.

Now . . . how long until UGA or Ga Tech find a spot on their schedule?

calling them an FBS program is a stretch

of course my theory is that they ran from the CAA because they were scared

They have the 4th best state to recruit in (possibly higher depending on your view). They are kind of like a poor man's SMU or what A&M was/is. There is enough talent in the state of georgia alone to make them a contender in a sun belt conference if they take kids who can't/aren't good enough to get into UGA or Tech or another big school.

I would wager that amounts to a fair number of 3 stars that don't want to leave momma.

And Ga St has a very respected coach with a recognizable name.
