On the radio, it sounded like he ran roughshod over AU in the 2nd half.

I think our team played very well considering everyone expected it to be over well before halftime.

For almost 3 years we've been waiting for the real Gerald Riggs to arrive. Well he arrived tonight. The Oline played great in the 2nd half and GR took advantage.

   :rocks:

I wasn't able to see the game :(

So I taped it. I finally got back from playing the gig with my friends at 3:15... And now I'm gonna go watch some Tennessee football.

Riggs deserves more credit than he recieved from the announcers. They were too busy talking about Jason Campbell and how he can walk on water. Great job by Riggs, I have been waiting a long time for him to have that kind of game. He made Auburns rush defense look like crap last night! Way to go Riggs, we are proud of you! :good:

Both Riggs and Houston made their "garage" dup look like they needed to be traded to the salvage yard. What a way for their "Star" RB tamdem to go out... looking like crap compared to the two boys from Tennessee!!! I wish we had found that running game earlier than the 3rd... it was there to be taken advantage of... we would probably be looking at the Sugar Bowl right now. Either way, our guys played hard. (except for the defensive secondary)

Well, the good news is that our secondary can't be much worse next year. I think Chavis needs to address the tackling problem that we seem to have having as well.

Freakin' Corso after the game... :shakehead:

Saying that Auburn excelled in nothing and it was their own fault that Tennessee stayed that close... He just needs to realize that the Volunteers have that much better of a game than everybody thinks, and that a team who wasn't supposed to stand a chance just made Auburn's rush defense look like nothing. We came into this game playing completely one dimensional, we had NO passing game whatsoever. Clausen was just 8 of 20 for 69 yards. We came in, playing completely one dimensional offense and Auburn still couldn't stop us all the way.

I see a bright future for Tennessee football! :good:

Not only was our offense one dimensional, the defense was too as bad as our secondary seemed.

Very proud of our team. They played with everything they had. You can't expect them to fight Auburn and the officials.

What about Cody Douglas. Give me a shot of whatever he got at halftime to come in and play. He made the difference in the second half. I hope we can execute like that the "whole" game in our bowl game and build to next year. . .And for Christmas I would like a legitimate defense.

on the two long runs (one by Houston that was called back) Douglas opened massive holes in the Auburn dline. He was the difference in the second half

All that I have to say about Gerald Riggs Jr. is that everyone should keep an eye on him next season. I beleive that he'll break the Vol record for most rushing yards in a season.

I don't think he will. I think he will be sharing carries with Cooker and Williams
