Millwood and insight on this? I talked to my buddy in Oklahoma City today and he told me that the local sportstalk show was talking about G. Jones today. They said that they think he could be wavering in his decision about coming to UT and could be headed to Texas Tech or OSU. Mike Leach was at the Millwood bball game the other night and some think he could surprise people on signing day
.

why on earth would someone even think about tech or state over UT?

And if we get Dwight Jones then that will definitely be a factor.. G. Jones could be the 4h wide receiver of this recruiting class and he could be the #1 WR for Tech..
It would suck big if we lost him but if we land D. Jones then I dont blame him.. PT plays a big time factor in recruitment

Physically, Gerald Jones is more prepared than any other WR that Tennessee has a commitment from at this point. He's the most prepared, physically, to compete in the SEC out of Brent Vinson, Kenny O'Neal, and even Dwight Jones.

There is no no no way he's more ready than Kenny O'Neal. No freaking way.

Overall... No, he isn't more prepared to play at the SEC level than Kenny O'Neal. O'Neal has the experience and mental factor way in his favor. However, G. Jones is physically more prepared. No question.

You're crazy. They are the same height, O'Neal is faster and has 10 pounds on Jones. I haven't found O'Neal's bench, squat, or vertical, though I doubt it's less than what Jones is doing.

They are both going to be insanely good. However, O'Neal is the most physically, mentally, everything ready WR we're signing.

Gerald Jones is a more physical WR than Kenny O'Neal will ever be. Size, bench, squat, and vertical don't have anything to do with what I'm talking about. I'm talking about G. Jones' style of play.

I hope not. Any Info Millwood? Has he mentioned anything about TT and OSU since being committed to TN?

WTF are you talking about? You have NOTHING to back this up.

Ever seen Gerald Jones play, or highlights for that matter? Compare them to Kenny O'Neal highlights. Is that enough to back it up? Watch, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Couple things:

A) Link me to Kenny O'Neal highlights.

B) You, the world reknowned football scout, are more reliable than what?

C) You still have nothing.

No high school kid is more physically ready to play SEC football than a guy that's already played college ball. Look at high school highlights all you want. The guy who's already played in college is going to be more physical no doubt about it.

You believe what you want to believe. Once Gerald Jones makes it onto UT's campus, we'll see.

Hey, I'm not doubting this kid's abilities, at all! I think he's going to be great. However, he is extremely similiar in size as O'Neal, and they are probably similiar in a lot of ways.

Also remember in these highlight videos, you're seeing Jones against high schoolers, and you're seeing O'Neal against other JUCOs. Plus, even IF Jones ends up being more physical, it doesn't mean he's better.

Also, you said Jones is more physical NOW than O'Neal will ever be, without question. That's ridiculous.

Ridiculous? Maybe... but also very possible. Gerald Jones plays big out there. He's just 6', but after watching him, you think he's at least 6'3", 220.

I hope he does play that big. There's nothing I'd rather see more than O'Neal and G. Jones making immediate impacts at WR. I think O'Neal will surpass 1,000 yards in 2007, so I obv. have high expectations for him.

Hey, I'm on the O'Neal boat as well. I'm expecting him to be the No. 1 or No. 2 WR next season.
