Rivals 4-star, #5 overall athlete in country:

"Right now, Tennessee is at the top of the list and I like Texas Tech too," Jones said. "But I want to take my visits to be sure of things and I have a long ways to go before deciding. Right now, everything is sort of on hold because we are in the middle of the playoffs."

It's nice to see us leading such schools as ND, UF, OK, & Michigan, instead of Pitt, Duke, etc...Now all we have to do is get the kid to sign.

Apparently Texas offered him last week, so add them to the list of suitors. He pretty much can choose to go wherever he wants. But, he hasnt mentioned much about Texas yet.

They have a completely wide open offense and score 40+ a game. It would be a fun offense to play in and he is from the midwest. Mike Paulus is going to UNC even though we wanted him, does that mean we can't outrecruit UNC(before Davis of course)?

Actually, after his visit to OU he said that Tennessee and Texas Tech were still both ahead of OU.

there is an entire story on the cover of football recruiting on rivals about Jones and Oklahoma. Anyone want to give us some insite?

Tennessee has a GREAT shot at getting Gerald. I would actually rank them #1 right now. I'm pretty close to the kid so if you guys have any questions just ask. I can also get you guys all of the articles on him that Rivals does, so once again if you wanna read them i'll start posting them for you guys..

His stats on the season are 120 carries for 1412. thats 11.76 yards per carry and 13 tds. he has about 1700 yards passing and 23 tds. he has returned 2 punts for tds. One kickoff return for 70 yards. He played sparingly on defense during the regular season, now since its playoff time he plays probably 80% of the defensive snaps.. He had around 40 tackles and 3 sacks 2 FF 3 fumble recoveries, one being a td.

thanks, just let him know that running out on the field in front of 100,000+ is a once in a lifetime experience

Welcome to the Volnation Millwood.

I will say this about the recruits I have seen so far, if their 40 times are legit, UT will be a little faster in the near future. That will solve some of these special team issues.
