Watching and hearing songs quickly develop from a rough idea to a finished product was impressive. My favorite all time band and I still listen to their music today.I guess there aren't a lot of Beatles fans on the board, and I'm late to the party, but just started this. Its incredible. Watching them come up with some of their greatest songs in real time gave me chills. Very cool to see them just vibing and creating music.
entered junior high w/ the Beatles. My son's den is a shrine to them, and he gifted me the remastered Let It Be and outtakes for Christmas. We gave him the McCartney lyrics book.Watching and hearing songs quickly develop from a rough idea to a finished product was impressive. Those are for the boomers. Beatles "Q rating" is dwindling. And how may "kids" do you know who read damn magazines? None. Those are for the 'good time oldie' set. Papaw and mamaws of the "kids."Huh?
Even kids today are discovering the Beatles. Every time I pass the magazines at the checkout in Kroger there is some special TIME/Rollingstone tribute special. They don’t make those things unless they sell.
It started happening in 2004. That was the peak of their acclaim in this "generation". Just like all the other boy bands from the 60s. Ask a random group of 100 teenagers in any part of town to name 2 songs by Beatles. Two. Can't do it.
Idk about that. The way younger people consume music (Spotify, YouTube) kind of increases the odds that they've been introduced to the Beatles imo.It started happening in 2004. I can see that. I mean, XM does have Beatles channel. They also a a DiPlo, Eminem, Grateful Dead channel and about every other unhip band on the planet.Idk about that. The way younger people consume music (Spotify, YouTube) kind of increases the odds that they've been introduced to the Beatles imo.
That was mostly Paul. He was a machine. It was incredible seeing the other guys over there discussing stage design while Paul starts screwing around on his piano. Next thing you know, you can distinctly hear the beginning of The Long and Winding Road. The man was a gifted songwriter.I guess there aren't a lot of Beatles fans on the board, and I'm late to the party, but just started this. Its incredible.
