The last five have been awful at best. CBJ did win against a ranked team and an sec foe that matters. He recruits great, shows improvement on team.He deserves the next three years. Then call for his head. At least with his recruiting the next coach won't have to start over with an empty cupboard. I for one stand with CBJ just like I have all players and coaches who wear the T. I freaking love Tennessee football no matter what. GBO

I'm behind the guy. Some of the posters here are unbelievable you can't out scheme everyone it's just not going to happen 9 out of 10 times the better team is going to win regardless of scheme. We badly need good players. Yeah say what you want about the OC but he is playing with in the talent he has on the team. If he had a QB and WR that could have taken advantage of their secondary I believe he would have.

CBJ is a proven winner and no one isn't going to come here and win instantly. Not Grunden, Grundy, or Cuttcliff it takes time. No matter what coach you put in the box it's going to take time. We have been have the same issues with every staff after a while you have to look at the players on the field.

We will be a lot better once most of you guys recognize this isn't the 90's no one gives a crap about our tradition and embrace the change so this program can grow. CBJ is the guy for the job right now and no one else would have touched this job. We will be A LOT better next year. We will have more that 1 good WR, hopefully a good QB, an aggressive Oline, and faster D.

While I agree with some of this...where do you see improvement from week to week? Because I don't see it .

EXACTLY! First post on here in 24 hours that actually makes sense. This season has gone exactly how everyone predicted it would with an upset thrown in there. We all knew that this is a 5-7, 6-6, or at best a 7-5 team and everyone on here accepted this at the beginning of the season. Curious on what has changed? You can tell the players believe in Butch Jones and they are around CBJ behind the scenes and know what is going on. This team has not quit, played its guts out, and shown pride all season long. They just are not that talented; it takes time. I look forward to all the TN fans calling for changes (again) singing a new tune when it does get turned around. They are the same ones that were ready to give Dobbs the Heisman after playing Bama.

Sometimes we all get stunned things that stunned butch how bad our wideouts are how over rated
The online is how incredibly slow Aj is that a true freshman would be the best player on defense......that had we not had Justin hunter and rogers they would have beat us when he was at cincy to go look at that game it was tight for a while how hard this job is really gonna be. That when he gets freshman in they are gonna be better at almost every position instantaneously....I think Hurd will be like Cedric Houston Gilmer wad a conservative coach so was tressel it doesn't matter when you dominate the line of scrimmage. We don't have lineman with that once we do its on again

I support this staff, ya gotta have talent, speed and quality depth to win in the SEC I don't care how good of a coach you are, and we don't have it. I expect to see improvement in those areas next season.

I expect to see us regress next season, we lose alot of contributors, and who is going to step up and take their place.

I stand behind the University of Tennessee but NOT Butch Jones. IF he can keep this recruiting class together then that will show a little something. I do not support him, however because I support the University of Tennessee I WANT him here for 4 years.

At this point I would say that he is ALMOST untouchable because losing another football coach would basically put the final nail in the coffin of what is UT football ( I think that we are at this point pretty much knocking on that door.)

We as fans have basically two choices, we continue to support the University of Tennessee understanding what kind of shape this program is in, or we chose to leave.

There is NO other team in this country that can consistently fill 80-90000 seats in a stadium and still have a losing record, and I think we as fans deserve better. We as fans deserve an apology, tickets sales and donors pay for Neyland stadium, these kids to get an education, all of the coaches salary, Dave Hart's salary all the freaking buyouts.

We as fans basically have been left with two choices either continue to support and cheer for the University of Tennessee, or stop throw in the towel and call it quits.

I think our expectations at this point are simple. We want an apology, and we want to know when we will see our dollars, support and love for the University of Tennessee, translate into this program turning around.

I will support Butch Jones when he directly directly apologizes for that debacle last night, and when he can tell me that my support isn't going to be spit on anymore. An additional added bonus would be for him to tell me when we will have a winning season again.

Last 4... last 5 would include SCar which was virtually the only bright spot this season.

He does recruit great, I would dispute we've seen improvement on the team... haven't seen ANY since SCar

Agree, deserves 3 yrs.

I currently feel extremely negative toward Butch at the moment, but I actually still stand behind him too. Partially because I have no choice, partially because a part of me still has faith he'll get it done.... I think.

The man had 2 weeks to prepare for Vanderbilt.....was given 4 turnovers....at home....and Vandy lost their entire defensive backfield. Game of inches my butt. Hey...those guys are resilient though!!

We have regressed on offense, defense, and special teams all season long. He better start showing in player development and calling a better game if he plans to be successful. I wanted Kiffin and Dooley to succeed too.......but my orange colored glasses don't get put on as often anymore. Sorry, but yesterday was pathetic from a coaching standpoint.

Interesting how we lost our starting QB and things started going downhill. While Worley isn't the greatest QB, it's pretty obvious we were a much better team at least offensively, with him at the helm.

Not only can't he coach on the field, but he is also over-recruiting players that he promised scholarships to. I'm afraid he's going all-in with this recruiting class at the detriment of the honesty and integrity that we said we liked.

I'm behind him, have to be because he will be the coach for at least 2 more years. I hope he turns this train wreck around.

BUT so far he hasn't shown much, this team regressed after the USC game, offenseive scheme is bland and predictable, special teams are atrocious and this senior lead O-line has been a huge disappointment. Yes, I am excited about this class but remember not 1 is signed yet!

I'm behind anyone one that is coaching UT . But I say give him 3 more years to get his first full recruiting class to be jrs . Then if it don't work out call for his head or what ever happens ! I hate seeing games like we have seen over the last few years . Its hard to be a UT fan and see this happen year after year !

You see no improvement. We are down with player speed and talent. We are losing games but we have played far and above or talent level.

There are lots of folks who need to not post on here or watch UT for at least 5 years.

Like it or not, 4 coaches in 6 years most likely equals a decade in the dumps.

That is the ugly truth.
