I want to hear what the best or worst Tennessee related gift you have ever received. Feel free to give an example of both, for example:

The worst, I received a license plate like the one you put on the front of your car, obviously the manufacturer was an idiot because in large glittery orange letters the plate spelled TENNESSE. Either they ran out of room and thought they could get away with it OR they just didn't know how to run spellcheck. Even better, the person who gave me the gift didn't catch it either.

The show is Tuesday night, so we have a couple of days to respond.

GO VOLS.....Larkin

For worst gift, that's easy . . . For my birthday a few weeks ago right after the season ended my in laws who know nothing about football inadvertantly twisted the dagger in my heart when they presented me with a Tennessee Vol doormat.

I guess it's a useful gift, but it was an extremely insensitive time to give it to me. :D

I always get BB tickets to TN and Ole Miss. when they play at the Tad Pad. I live kinda close to Oxford but Orange still runs through my veins.

I got an authentic Tennessee football helmet one Christmas when I was 8 or 9 from my uncle, no idea where he got it, but it was a real football helmet, not one of those fake plastic ones that you buy with one of those hideous little kiddy uniforms.

Unfortunately I wanted to look "cool" like a "real" football player's helmet so I took it outside and scraped it up and whatnot in the dirt... luckily most of that crap washed off and it now sits in my bedroom.

Worst was a blue sweatshirt with a plaid power T on the front , the thing has not a speck of orange on it anywhere, what kinda of sadistic company makes a UT shirt without any orange on it (it looks good on my wife though)

Best - framed print of Smokey with all the other SEC mascots treed, too cool.

I can only think of one UT gift so I guess it was a best and worst combined. I got a necktie with little UT helmets all over it. In the bottom of the tie was a little battery powered chime that played 'Rocky Top.' It was pretty annoying but I had alot of fun with it.

My Michigan anti-Vol father in law bought me a UT shirt one year. I would have given $20.00 to see him carry it through the store to the check out counter. That reminds me, thanks Vols for kicking the big blues butt all over the field that year!Quiet as a mouse that year. :eek:k:

worst gift had to be tickets to the Rose Bowl before UT lost to LSU.

they presented me with a Tennessee Vol doormat

ouch. kinda funny though. Just make sure it says, 05. I would gladly wipe my feet on this year's football season.

My parents once bought me a UT pullover and matching hat that was grey and...PAISLEY. The shirt was grey, and the UT logo was...PAISLEY. The hat was...PAISLEY. Entirely. It was the most god awful looking comob ever. I told my dad when I opened it up that I thought he had taste until he bought this. Of course, it made him feel bad and I was forced to wear it the next school day. I was in junior high at the time. It was one of the worst days ever, since everyone made fun of me for wearing something so gay.

Oh yeah, and someone, every year (until this year) always gets me a bowl seatshirt that is like 2 sizes too small. I love those, too.

A couple of years ago, i was given a framed and signed picture of Al Wilson. He is in the linebacker stance with a very mean look on his face. One of the best gifts I have ever received, Al Wilson IS UT football.
