I have this odd little feeling that TN is about to blow back up again in the next few years.

I honestly am kinda shocked because when Butch was hired I wasn't really for it... but....the man put on the Orange with a pride I haven't seen since CPF and he seems to really believe this is his dream job. There is an energy behind him right now and it is easy to sell something when you truly believe it. He believes it. And I am behind him 100 percent now.

So heres the point: in about two years we are gonna be alot like Bama. Alot of bandwagon fans who will never know how great this victory really feels because they weren't here when our asses were getting kicked. They will sing Rocky top but it wont be from the heart. And yeah, were gonna pick up some Gator fans. It's gonna happen.

So to those of us who still wear the orange with pride, still yell Go Vols even after a loss to Vandy, here's to you.

You were here when the chips were down and you are the heart and soul of volnation.

Go Vols and lets shock the world on NSD!

I've been through the bad times, the good times, and the recent bad times, now it's time for some good times again. It's a cycle, I guess.

I grew up during the golden age and watched it slowly decline but I still act like it's '98 when the game comes on and I just feel like we will kick everyones ass.

Been a Vol through thick and thin that'll never change. We're about to butch slap some people. Its Butchball time in tennessee my friends

Over 50 years I've been bleeding Tennessee Orange and that will never change.

I know it's going to take a few years for bUTch to turn things back around with another total rebuild just starting but with everything I've seen him doing I finally believe we have a real coach that knows exactly what he's doing and has the energy and total commitment to succeed and bring us slowly back up to the top.

The days when teams fear having to play our Vols ARE coming back a little at a time and when those days get here again it's really going to be sweet.

bUTchball on Rocky Top will be here for many years to come.

When we start winning again we need to make T shirts that say "don't call me a bandwagon fan, I was loyal to UT during the Kiffen and Dooley era" lol

When you grow up here, dream of going to school at UT. Work hard to pay for a education and graduate its in your DNA. There is no choice!

Vol fan win lose or draw since 1971. I am a lot like the OP. I was underwhelmed at first but now I'm optimistic. I believe Coach Jones will do well here.

That's good stuff. I have been a Vol4Life for over 22 years. I have served in the Army and carry the Volunteer Pride all over this great nation and overseas. Through the good, the bad and the Dooley. I am 100% all Vol, all the time. I live in South Carolina and it sickens me to loose to them and deal with their haughtyness. The energy around this staff is infectious and making other universities nervous. I too believe CBJ is the real deal. His passion for the game, ability to recruit and gift to build relationships is amazing. His staff is awesome as well. Can't wait until NSD. I think we will shock many and have a solid class. He will close well. Ready for the next CFB season. It's a great time to bleed orange. Go Vols!!!!!

Anyone still hanging around n posting since 2005 r not bandwagon fans.. grew up a fan n also an Alum so fan for life.

However started hating dools very early because u could see the signs of bad coaching n bad personality. I will remain open on cbj but I love the vols not any one person. He has to perform in recruiting n on the the field to truly become part of the vols history.. jmo

The real fans have been on the wagon the whole time. Those UT "fans" in the late 90's that started wearing gator gear are the same ones now sporting Bammer gear. They can stay the hell gone. Go VOLS!
