Get to know CBJ...

I will support our new coach 100%. I love his enthusiasm and energy, and I appreciate that he said the UT position is "dream job" for him. However, I'm pretty pissed off about how the AD handled this search. Cheek, Hart and Martin's bungling of the process have made it difficult for the fan base to unite behind this hire. Still, here's hoping for the best.

I'm 90% behind CBJ. He'll get the other 10% when he proves he can recruit and win in the SEC.

Agree.

Great coaches have to get a shot to prove themselves at some point. At least he has been a winner and not just hired for his charm and last name.

I would like to know what Jon Gruden's college record is...or how about when CBJ went h2h against Strong...Point is...we know the guy can do a few things...win and do it with less talent in a tougher place to recruit...just because you recruit top 20 doesnt mean your going to win...USC has had top classes for years and how did that turn out for them this year? Granted it helps, but if you can't win with less, you SURE AS HELL CANT DO IT WITH MORE.

I'm going to be positive just b/c I can't stand being so negative for this long.

He has a pretty good winning record and seems to speak well. I did like watching his teams play. Hope he does well at UT.

GO VOLS!

I'll sit here on this nice comfortable fence until he proves three things.

1. He can put together a damn good staff.
2. He can recruit in the SEC. I'm talking top 10, not top 20.
3. He can beat other SEC teams that aren't named Vandy and Kentucky.

BJ is 50-27 as a HC. Dools was 17-20 when hired. Strong is 24-14.

The guy wins and has more HC experience than Strong.

Your right. Not a bad hire. We sure could have done worse. Its really hard to tell what you will end up with until you see it in action. However in my opinion not very likely, he could be the next urban meyer. Who knows. Go vols!
