Comparing this year's starters compared to last years, honestly, who would you take:
1. Rajion Neal or Jalen Hurd (Lane is back)
2. Jason Croom or Von Pearson (Pig and North are back)
3. Cody Blanc or Josh Malone
4. Brendon Downs or Daniel Helm
5. Woody Quinn or Ethan Wolf
6. Jacques Smith or Derek Barnett
7. Marlon Walls or Curt Maggitt
8. Daniel Hood or Williams
9. Dontavis Sapp or Reeves-Mabin
10. Rihayd Jones or Cam Sutton
I could go further, but hopefully you get the point. The group to the left was last year's starters for game one. Wow, no wonder we didn't go to a bowl.
My point: it's getting good quickly!

I'm sure Derek Barnett is gonna be great, but hes a true freshman. Meanwhile Jacques Smith is on an NFL roster.

Not to insult you by any means, but what does it really matter? I believe that it is common knowledge that the talent level being brought in is hands down better than it has been in years. That isn't the issue at hand. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it experience that has most concerned. IMO a better thread to start would have been something along the lines of how long before this young and exponentially talented team really clicks...

You sure these guys were starters? I'm thinking not

I will still take Barnett.

So looking at this season only (not taking into account how good Barnett could be in the future), you're telling me that you would replace an NFL player with someone who has only played high school football?

To the ignorant and uninformed, the new guy is always the best. New 4 star guy>than the NFL guy. Back Up guy>than starting QB. New coach<than old coach. 18 year old kid<than 22 year old man. We need new TOYS to play with to make us happy.I hope these kids will be All Americans, but they have not played a down yet. They should be MUCH better in the next 2 to 3 years, but predicting they will instantly be better is nonsense. Some will be, but most will not.

I like the left but I'm not too sure that I don't prefer sapp just because of how big if a heart he had when playing however I haven't seen what JMB CAN DO YET EITHER... Atleast not a true every down backer.

I like Barnett too and hope he's an All American someday, but we are basically going off his high school ranking at this point. The irony of that is J. Smith was ranked a little higher than Barnett coming out of high school.

So intelligent and wise for a mere human. Can we stand back and just admire your brilliance?

Well, everybody said we had an NFL roster just a couple of years ago-Bray, Patterson, Hunter, Rogers etc.. So, what's with all this better talent stuff now?
