So, I know recruiting is going to change a lot from now till next year but the fact that Florida is on 6 out of the top 10 football recruits for next year makes me sick. Not saying that Florida will land them all or any but what is so appealing for players from California and Texas and Alabama wanting to come to Florida?

I noticed we have one player in the top 10 named Reuben Randle from Louisana but I'd bet he goes to LSU. We seriously need to figure out how to lure recruits to UT. We are sinking fast to other schools regardless to how much denial some members think.

Oh no, we're going to be a miserable team now. Everybody abandon ship. Now all we need is someone in this thread blaming Fulmer's weight...

Not so sure that we should be in a panic about next years recruiting class just a week out from this years NSD. I know that this years wasn't what a lot of people wanted but in most cases UT has a pretty good recruiting class. Lets give the coaches a chance to at least improve over this year before we throw them under the bus.

No reason to get pissed about next year until UT starts losing ballgames.

Must be hard having that crystal ball and not being allowed to bet on games at Vegas. Against the time space continuum rules. Damn that Federation.

O.k. i won't panic. I'll just accept the fact that someone in our eastern division is going to rack up on blue-chippers while measily ole' tennessee and our fans come up with theories that 3*'s are what get into the NFL and there is no reason to really want to get the big time players. I still don't understand why we wanted the 3rd best player in the 2007 class (Eric Berry). You guys are right. I hope we only get 3*s and maybe a few 4*s to satisfy our fans.

Did anyone say they would take 3 stars over 5 stars? No! Measily ole Tennessee doesn't have great instate talent year in and out like Florida, Georgia, and Alabama do.

5 of AU's 5 stars were from the state of AL
4 of UT's 5 stars were from the state of TN

We've recruited more 5 stars than AL and UGA, and they have better instate talent. Fulmer had 1 bad year. Get ya some!

Great post govols182! We had an outstanding recruiting class last year then an average one this year and everyone weants to whine like a little bitch. Lighten up...HV was right when he posted,a month or so ago, this isn't a big needs class. We are returning all skill players with the exception of Ainge. O-line is still intact and our Wrs and RBs are loaded with talent.

Defensively we should be fine. Losing our DEs is no big deal. They couldnt sack my Grandma. Losing Mayo and Karl hurt but we always have stud LBs. Our secondary will be the best in the SEC with the return of Moreley,Berry,Vinson at 100% and Gaines gaining another year of eligability. Special teams should be even better.

We will be fine next year. Quit bitching. f I wanted a negative environment then I would spend time with my ex-wife or mother in law!

The third game will be a much better indicator, but I will agree that anyone who is not pissed if UTK looses the first game must be a Bammer.

Dude, I am just going to have to call you on this revisionist propaganda. First, this is two down recruiting years out of three and therefore does not exist in some vaccum where the 2007 class will make everything alright. Second, and more to the point, you and all the other Pollyannas on this board spent the past couple of months telling us all how we shouldn't worry about the star ratings because this WAS a needs class and the linemen we needed would not be as highly rated as skill players. So the Vols did not get the linemen they needed and now you want to spin it that it was not a needs class? C'mon. Even a blind homer such as yourself has to see how foolish this makes you appear.

i agree with you whole-heartily. We have to really have a solid recruiting year this year to make up for the two lousy ones.

Just like all the other typical Fulmerites, Wait, wait wait. You guys are all about waiting to change anything while our beloved national powerhouse football team continues to slide more and more into mediocrity. If we act when you fools want to, we will already be the laughing stock of the SEC and have to wait a decade to get back to national prominence. Pull the damn trigger!

I wouldn't say that I am a Fulmerite. I wanted him fired as well but there have been some changes and I am willing to wait and see if these will pan out. One coach that I still do want to see gone is Chavis and I completely think CPF's loyalty is costing us by keeping him around.
