Someone asked if we could recruit the line that Giles had blocking for him in Florida? A very good point. I beleieve we are in need of a good run blocking line to help out these awesome backs coming in. Lennon Creer will be a great for us now but this is recruiting and looking to the future of Tennessee football.Ainge had a quick release and a descent line. Yeah, we only had 4 sacks last year but their run blocking abuilty worries me. If we can land Giles and Allen as a combo what a backfield! Allen is a horse with good cutting abuilty and able to run people over. he is what a real fullback should be. now i just saw the video of Giles. He can cut and has raw speed especially hitting the holes. if Allen can lead block for him with his speed we would be able to run all over the field. I also believe that them sharing carries would hurt their stats but could get them out of college quicker and into the pros. it would put us back to smash mouth football again!:)

Good Rival article about Giles having Tennessee in the lead right now.

He wouldn't give Drayton the time of day when he was recruiting for Florida, but now they are buds.

If I had to choose between Giles and Oku I would choose Oku. He is an all purpose back which would fit our offense really well. They both are impressive on film, but it looked like Giles had a lot of runs up the middle where his offensive line would blow open huge holes and he would basically go untouched and then just turn on the speed. However, I would take either of them or both if we could get them, which is probably unlikely.

Clemson was in the lead at one time. Have we moved in front of them?

it could turn into a race of who commits first, Giles or oku...I don't see us taking both since thay are so similar.

I wouldn't mind having both, but hell, give me Oku and I'll have a huge smile on my face, give me Giles and I'll have a huge smile on my face.

Both David Oku and Jarvis Giles were clocked in with a 4.5 forty time according to scout.

Rivals has Oku running a 4.49 and Giles running a 4.5 which is basically the same. By watching the videos Oku looks much more shiftier than Giles, the way he cuts and changes direction, but again, I would take either one of them, or both would be nice! Giles does seem to maybe have a little better top in speed once he breaks into the open.
