Not surprised they did this. I knew the Dolphins were stupid for drafting him 9th overall but he really regressed last season. If he pans out, SF will finally have a decent receiving corps.

At the time drafting him 9th and being able to get john beck in the 2nd actually looked like a good move. Obviously now it looks terrible. I hope he pans out as more than a return specialist.

Yeah I shouldn't really fault them specifically since he was projected top 15 I think. I just knew he'd take a few years to develop and his returning ability wasn't enough to draft him that high, especially when Holmes, who was more polished coming out, went late 1st the year before.

Weird, i'd have thought they would have kept him. Marshall and Ginn in your first 3 WR spots doesn't seem that bad really

I personally wouldn't have taken him in the first round, period.

Good riddance. His biggest asset to the team last year was being a decoy for the deep threat. He consistanly has trouble running clean routes (although he has gotten better) and still has trouble catching alot of ball that any NFL receiver should catch. His speed is absolutely ridiculous. Maybe the niners can turn him around.

Greg Camarillo , Davon Bess, Brian Hartline have both started to step it up. I think they will def. be better next year at WR with Marshall.

hindsight is 20/20

Yeah, but it makes little sense to use a top 10 pick on a smaller, raw WR even if he has blazing speed. WRs also tend to be more hit or miss than other positions or take longer to develop. I'm not even saying Ginn is/will be a bust but it didn't make much sense to me drafting him that high with his size, position or development at that point.
