1. It makes MADD mad.
2. It upsets two huge lobbyists, Brown & Williamson and Phillip Morris.
3. Because the Religious Right is still fuming over the repeal of prohibition.
4. The US DoD just loves throwing billions of dollars at the truly unwinnable cause, so named, "The War on Drugs."
5. Most Americans are truly terrified of individual responsibility and freedom.

I can agree with all this.

I don't worry much though... Hasheesh is very low on the totem pole of illegal activities. At least around here. Cops don't really give a damn about a dub, or stuff like that. Just as long as there's not some big operation.

If pot is illegal for reasons such as driving under the influence, then cell phones and car stereos need to be illegal as well. Same with make up and brushes while driving. If people actually took the standard of why they made something illegal and applied it across the board, it would be astonishing to see the response.

Have you seen those hilarious '50's and '60's shows that portray how terrible pot is? Like when the kid looks into a mirror and sees a monster? There's a good view of it on VH1's, the Drug Years.

They made pot look more like getting shot by a tranquilizer dart made for elephants.
