How long until we see the black basketball uniforms?

Granted, we won't be playing any basketball games on Halloween, but the fact that the football team has thrown that gauntlet down, and it was already a rumor in the past couple of years, I'd say we're definitely going to see them now.

I think now that the football team has stepped across the line & did it the basketball team will follow. They wont wear them against Kentucky or Vandy but i can see them wearing them against Kansas or Florida.

Well, don't forget that if we wear black, it's a road uniform. Wearing black would pretty much be useless. It would only hype up the opponents' fans to want to beat us all the more.

You can wear your away jerseys at home, the away team just has to be informed to wear white

Actually I think the NCAA official rule states the home team does have to wear white, or at least the lighter color. Maybe they changed it.

I'd say what we'll probably see is them broken out at a neutral site game, like in a tournament. Of course that didn't work too well for Kentucky last year at the SECT.

Maybe we could wear a light black.....

It won't happen for a home game.
Acatually, mutual consent between the two opposing institutions on a uniform change is in effect for basketball. They can wear the black at home as long they have permission from the visiting team and said visitors wear a light colored (home) uniform.

Then I stand corrected. And yeah it probably will be a home game.

And for that matter....why don't we try to be the only team to wear dark at home? I've never really understood why basketball teams wear white at home. I'd love for us to wear the orange.
