And I quote...

"You know what? I'm sorry. I've had it. Watching the BS news conference today made me sad. And mad. Listening to the current UT women's coaches gush over how great things are...bullsh*t. We have access to this, that, and the other now. Woo-hoo!! News alert women's coaches...if you were DENIED access in the past, that would have been a violation of Title IX. Who knew? Two of the women who were included in the most recent Title IX lawsuit include YOUR Lady Vol athletes. How dare you trade on your reputations for their humiliation. And you rah-rah and support Butch Jones? Despicable. Shame on all of you! Never thought I'd see people I believed in, and worked alongside of, display such questionable character and represent my University in women's athletics. Today was an ill-conceived damage control "fail". No wonder recruiting is suffering across the board in athletics."

While were at it heres another gem. A few weeks ago I alluded to the fact that many coaches will not be interested in Tennessee due to the baggage. Here's exhibit A why...

What does Butch Jones have to do with the Title IX suit? In the cases where there was an alleged rape or sexual assault he suspended the players immediately...Paulk, Johnson, Williams and Pearson...unlike some other schools that let players continue to play while investigation into the allegation was being conducted. Jones was not even at UT when most of these Jane Does are saying that they were victims of sexual abuse or rape.

I didn't realize Paulk was named in a sexual assault case? I thought he got kicked off for hitting his girlfriend in the face and bursting her lip. If he is not in the case please retract him from the list.

Even though Debbie worked for UT for years, the university owes her nothing. She got her paychecks and as far as I am concerned she has to deal with hiring and firing just like the rest of us slubs in the real world.

She is just bitter because she got canned and now wants to milk the rest of us taxpayers and tuition payers for all she can get. She and the others in the lawsuit are despicable people along with the greedy lawyers representing them.

Post it everywhere. :birgits_giggle:

It is cycling its way through the Knoxville media as we speak, this lawsuit is heading down hill fast. If she has nothing to do with the lawsuit then how could she possibly know it to be fact that 2 of the victims were lady vol student athletes? I'm not trying to sound like a conspiracy theorist but I think she is the mastermind behind this whole lawsuit.

The best case scenario is the suit is thrown out , could happen. If tried next best is title IX will be amended to limit the universities responsibility to the expulsion of the alleged perpetrator and informing local law enforcement officials.

Why? University officials and campus police are not qualified and equipped to conduct criminal investigations. The standards and burden of proof are much lower and decisions favor the accuser. guilt or innocence is better left up to the court system. :dunno:

I am surprised her settlement agreement did not include limitations on talking about the school.

That is just mind boggling ....bunch of ninny lawyers on UT staff for sure.Hope there are better ones to represent them in this law suit.

I think she could be described as someone with an ax to grind. What is this, Dirty Laundry Month for UT? Good grief. The Manning thing has become stupid---it was settled 20 years ago and it sounds like the victim is looking for yet another pay check (after already receiving two, and justifiably so, but I think it's time to move on).
