Everyone needs to go vote for Neyland Stadium and ESPN.com for the best stadium in College Football. I don't have a subscription to insider but if anyone does you can find out how Bruce Feldman ranked the top stadiums.

Current top five...

1-Ohio State
2-Tennessee
3-Mich.
4-Notre Dame
5-Penn St.
Were you able to see how espn ranked them? I know that those rankings are from across the nation.

No, I don't give any money to ESPN except that part that the cable company sends on my behalf... :matrix:
I'm the same way I hate ESPN they do nothing but run UT in the ground.

Funny how all of those ice palaces have the votes. And we're the only SEC or southern one for that matter?

Well, I tried to put the link in 3131's post, but it wouldn't work right. Maybe it will work here..

Sweet, although it is a shocker that they gave UT recongnition for something.
Feldman is one of the few who has his head screwed on straight most of the time at ESPN.

Except for Alabama, Tennessee is the only team in the SEC that is really that historically important, IMO. Florida accomplished nothing before 1990, LSU was under the radar a lot. Georgia has a good record but the fact that they've left the south a handful of times in 50+ years hurts them. Auburn hasn't been THAT big of a deal IMO.

Not to say these schools don't have any historical significance, but we're dealing with the best of the best though. And in any college football poll like this one, the overall reputation of a program has a lot to do with the question posed.

Amen! I love how people profess their disdain for ESPN . . . and then show it by hitting their website over and over again. :focus:

Since most Vols fans don't have the juevos to say it...

Thank God for ESPN.

Even though their unabashed love for the Yanks and BoSox does major injustice to the rest of MLB, even though 90% of their college football analysts are boneheads and/or complete homers, even in spite of the east coast bias, even though they may be the mastermind of a conspiracy to discredit Tennessee football, even though they endlessly feed Barry Bonds' ego, even though they create undeserved hype for female athletes, I love this network. When there are no sports on in the wee hours of the morning, I can always count on an ESPN network for some sports programming.

i don't mind ESPN either, though Sports Center is really lacking these days....they do over blow things...like the Michelle Wie cut ins, the Roger clemens minor league cut ins, Barry bondes etc.....

but, i do enjoy PTI and Around the Horn, but if it's sports info i just want see or get scores etc...i go to ESPNNews.

Plus, their coverage of the NBA, NFL and College football are 2nd to none imo, as far as their sport specific shows are concerned.

So i'll give credit where credit's due, but at the same time, some of the stuff is just plain fluff, and i could do w/out. I probably watch ESPN half as much after football season. During football season, i watch all the time.

I've said it before, ESPN is wonderful as long as the mute button is functioning. :devilsmoke:
