Hey everyone, read posts from the Nation for awhile but just signed up recently. My buddy and I are going to the LSU game and wondered where the good place to party pregame and post game are.

This is the first GOOD Tennessee game (went to Mem and KY before) I'm going to as well. Love some recomendations. Also, do they still frisk everyone at the gate? How hard would it be to sneak in a little liquid courage???

They frisk at the gate still, but if you use good judgement, getting booze in isn't a problem.

Most of campus is a tailgating dream. The strip is always buzzing too. :)

Peyton said today that the Den-Indy game was a great day for football... it reminded him of "Some Saturdays back in Knoxville." I look forward to my first true tailgating experience in K-Town!!!

what happens if you get caught? A stern frowning by a trooper?

Dad and I went a couple of years ago. He forgot he had a big knife on him, but the trooper missed it. Good job!

Just as long as they still let me in, thats fine.

Heck, it may be gone before my girl and I get inside anyway.

My tactics...

1. I'll crotch it. A couple games they would make me lift my shirt, so if you're wearing two, put it under your second.

2. Put it in your shoe right before you get to the gate. Yeah, it sucks walking on it for a bit, but you can take it out asap when you get in.

3. If you are with a female, have them put in in their bra, depending on how much liquor you want to bring.

This can actually work really well if you are using a camelback style pouch and she wears a sports bra that is too big. :good!: That is, assuming she is of average "endowment".

they didn't frisk me for the alabama game at gate 1. some guys in front of me had plenty of courage throughout the game.

Gate 2 usually frisks.

They usually just take it from you if they catch you. However, I had a friend who got caught trying to smuggle something in to the Cal game and they would not let her in.

I'll know tommorow what gate I will go through (24 probally) when I get my tickets (you have to enter through the gate printed on the ticket, correct?) Not sure the girl I'm going with will have much room left in her bra... :boobies:

No, you can enter any gate.

not in at all? damn that sucks. probably couldn't go to another gate either, since they ripped her ticket?
