I've only done it once, but with my Mother and Mother-in-law being at my house at the same time over the holidays, I'm sorely tempted. It felt a little weird when I went by myself, but I have some friends who do it often. Anybody else go to the movies by themselves? (Porn theaters don't count. You know who you are.)

I travel a lot and take in a flick or two when I am super bored. I am also a big horror fan and you can only lie so many times about a movie before your significant other realizes its always going to be a trick.

I always go to the movies by myself but I usually don't go very often. I think I only saw five or six in theater this year the last was probably Man of Steel.

I usually just wait now until they are out on Blu-ray!

I don't go to movies, I'd rather watch in the comfort of my own house. However, I really enjoy activities by myself. I don't have to be around a lot of people to enjoy something and a lot of the time I prefer to be by myself. I really like golfing alone.

If it's something I really want to see I go alone and when it won't be crowded. I never go with a girl when it's something I want to see, as I hate getting questioned during. Why did he do that? Did you see that? How long is this movie? Who is that guy? Is he gonna die? Why are you being so quiet? Are you mad? Lol

I don't think I've ever gone by myself, but I wouldn't be opposed to it. It would have to be a decent movie.

Typically if there's a movie I really want to see on the big screen, my wife has no interest in going -- e.g. The Hobbit.

So I'll go see the movie and she'll go shopping. It's a win-win. Seeing a movie by myself is >> jumping to my death at a mall.

Most of the times that I go to the theater, I go by myself. I do go with my girlfriend sometimes but going alone is my time to get away from things.

I've done it couple of times when I really wanted to see something and it wasn't going to work out schedule wise to see it with someone. Probably do it more often now with two kids making it harder for the wife to go with. Last movie I went to in the theatre was Man of Steel and I was by myself.

I actually don't understand why movies are something you must do w other people. Sitting in a dark room and being silent for 2 hours... no interaction

I have before but it's been a while, and the last time was unintentional as I was meeting a friend and he got sick on the way to the movie and went back home.

Honestly it's not nearly as weird feeling to me as going to a sporting event by myself. The worst thing I did was went to a baseball game once by myself and there was no one sitting anywhere near around me. I only stayed half the game.

I go by myself a lot. Sometimes, I like to have a little time alone with just me, myself, and I. I like going in the middle of the week. Many times, I've had an entire theater to myself.

I've only went once by myself. My wife, gf at the time, and I lived in different cities for awhile and went to the same movie at the same time by ourselves. Kinda corny but the long distance thing sucked at the time.

I used to work at a movie theater in high school and noticed from time to time men would go to a movie by themselves. I've also seen guys who bring their daughters and their friends to movies and they end up going to see something else by themself.
