Got tickets to Brickyard in a couple of weeks. I've been to the 500 before, but this will be my first NASCAR race.

Looking forward to it.

Where you sitting, staying, etc?

Prepare for massive boredom compared to the 500.

My first cup race was at Talladega. I loved the racing there before this 2 by 2 crap. I would love to go to a cup race at Indy just to say that I had.

That's a big reason I am going.

I'm not sure if he will be there, but I do hope Bayne races on Sunday just so I'll have someone to pull for. Otherwise I'll have to do what I did at the 500 and go with the guy whose pit was in front of me. Already forgot who it was, I just remember he was sponsored by All Sport.

Crossing Indy off the ole bucket list only counts if you go for the 500.

The 400 is nice and its a great party and all, but doesn't compare.

Every race fan should experience the 500 once.

I'm actually in a suite near the start/finish line. It's part of the reason I am going. :)

Staying with family in the area.

Only been in the turn 2 suites. I got into the new ones over the old F1 paddock but was asked to leave as I wasn't invited. Hope that's where you'll be as they're much nicer than the others along the front straight.

I've had some good luck "getting lost" at sporting events and finding myself in very nice areas.

I've been to Daytona, Charlotte, & Darlington. Many of those memories are very vague.

Add Bristol, Kingsport, Michigan, Indy and Asheville-Weaverville and you have my list of NASCAR Cup race tracks.

I know at one point the unofficial policy at Fenway was "if no one is sitting there, the seats are up for grabs". That still the case?

I liked the old North Wilkesboro track. Close and pretty good racing. Facilities sucked majorly though.

I was in Chicago in summer of '96. ChiSox and Indians were starting a big series, both teams were vying for first place, etc. ChiSox were wanting a sellout, so were selling some seats for $4 each, so me a couple of other guys decided to go check it out. We started out last row of the stadium, upper deck, behind home plate. By the bottom of the 4th inning, we could almost shake hands with Frank Thomas as he left the field.

Bristol or Atlanta are the only ones I care about seeing. Maybe Daytona as well.

Must be nice to get tickets in a suite near start/finish. Never had a chance to visit the Brickyard. Best track I've been to a NASCAR race is 'Dega.:eek:k:I like it over Daytona.
