Golden Bears Awake?

I liked what Bishop said.

What hurts me personally the most is that they say the SEC is supposed to be the big dog, and they're not," Bishop said. "The speed was the same. If you miss a tackle one-on-one and he's got a free 30 yards to run, you're going to lose to a high school team."

LOL:lolabove:

I didnt see Meachum having any problems running away from their Corners.

I guess they have to believe what they have to believe in order to get through the season. Doesn't change the fact that the Vols absolutely dominated that team.

Too bad Bishop couldn't tackle a receiver, big dog, or a HS kid. He's going to need countless hours of therapy to make himself feel whole again. Poor poor kid.

He should try telling that to his offensive players, because I've seen a bunch of quotes from them to the contrary.

Poor left coast writers. They also forgot that we laid thier players out, a la Robert Ayers style.

S-E-C! S-E-C!

I also thought Lynch's attitude was revealing. I thought practice was for working out the kinks, not a nationally televised game against a ranked oponent.

Lynch= just another hypesman hopeful or winner UT has made look like crap (reference to Testaverdi and George)

yeah Bishop was one of the 6 or 7 that were within a couple of feet or so of Hardesty, that he shrugged off on his way to his 40 something yd TD run.....and Bishop couldn't run him down!!!! :birgits_giggle:

I think half the bench came out and tried to tackle Hardesty. I could have sworn even Tedford was seen being brushed off in that run.

Bishop had no room to talk, I dont care what kind of footbal you play
D-1, D-2, D-3, High School, Pop Warner you don't stop playing till the whistle blows. When Hardesty ran his touchdown he was to preoccupied with throwing M. Frogg into a pile and letting him know he threw him there, and didn't care where the ball was and quit to let M. Frogg hear about it. Lets see Bishop suit up for an SEC team and take on the hosses we have on all the offensive lines, and the fullbacks that would eat him up. That kid has no room to talk when your to busy talking smack than playing football. People like him disgust me.

Great quote... I'm using that one in class tomorrow! :)

That's why the guy probably doesn't even know they lost yet... he was too busy talking big, and playing slow.

So, "Cal's defense feels cautiously confident"????? That with us gaining 514yds of offense!!!!!

How would they feel if The Vols had left the 1st team offense in the game? The score would have likely been 50-0 and the offensive output going to let's say 700+. Of course the Pac-10 is all about offense with only bush-league defensive abilities.

They also thought their speed was equall to the The Vols. That weren't watching the same game I saw.

Obviously, the atmosphere in Neyland Stadium is still clouding their judgement.... :eek:lol:

That's not true. They were running at the same speed. I noticed that CAL defenders could keep with our receivers and were running the same speed. Of course that meant that they were about 3-4 yards behind our receivers during all of their TD runs. :)

yeah that's a funny article. What Bishop said was similar to someone being run over by a semi- and saying that it wasn't THAT big of a truck!

LOL
