what does a memory have to do with calling the current version of UT basketball pathetic and uninspired? This team actually looks pretty similar to the ones in my memory

Here we go again...the "Stop being negative, at least it's not Houston/O'Neil/Peterson blah blah blah " talking.

You know it IS possible to be happy it's not the Wade Houston days AND be able to criticize the current team. Unless you're a mental midget like the TC.

I'm confused by this argument. Does it mean we should accept and, in fact, support under acheivement because UT basketball has been bad in the past? I don't expect us to win every game, and I would actually be okay with us not making the NCAA tourney this year IF I saw a team that was giving their all and was getting beat by more talented teams. This team has no heart, appears to be uncoachable, and is worse now than at the beginning of the year. What exactly is there to cheer about?

It's apparently from the same line of thinking that we shouldn't have criticized Fulmer because he won the NC in 1998.

We can't criticize failure in the present because of success in the past, and we can't criticize failure in the present because of failure in the past. So I guess criticizing is just banned period to these guys.

Pearl pretty much told everyone at the beginning of the year what would happen this season. No one listened.
