We need a golf forum.

and we need to figure out a way to restrict to people who are completely honest about their game...

That said, I'm deathly afraid of what my game will look like when I get back

I haven't picked up a club in over a year. I am sure I couldn't hit it in the ocean if I were on the beach at high tide.

Did the family vacation thing last week in Myrtle Beach and played 2 rounds for the first time in over a year and half probably.

First round, while the score (93) was pretty bad, I was shocked at how well I was striking the ball with anything not called a putter.

2nd round made me remember why I quit a year and half ago.

Your favorite teams spell a refreshing soft drink.

There's a swing that guarantees the ball to fly straight.

Moe was the man but that natural golf is crap. I'll rephrase, there's a swing to make it fly straight enough.

Sure there is. But it's hell getting it to repeat which is why most everyone plays a draw or a fade.

Oh god here we go. Before I ever saw a pro hit a ball I would hear announcers talk about this guy or that guy being a drawer or fader of the ball. When I saw them in person guess what? It looks pretty damn straight to me. There might be very slight movement of the ball on it's decent one way or another but it's negligible. Sorry if my straight reference was taken out of context I should have known better. If I can aim at my target & the ball starts a couple feet right & draws back a couple feet left on target that's straight enough for me.

What do you mean "here we go"? I didn't think I was posting something argumentative or controversial. Most guys work it one way or the other. :dunno:
