Best show of all time IMO, and it was well before my time. RIP George "Goober" Lindsey.

It doesn't matter how many times I've seen a certain Andy episode, I'll sit through the whole thing. Great show. RIP Goober

That's me too. Seems like some I've seen a hundred times from watching tapes of them with my dad when I was younger and then catching them later on TV Land. It's one of those rare shows that can be funny without being dirty.

This is both my dad and my favorite scene of the whole series:

He was part of the nashville "breakfast club" along with my dad, ray Stevens, Norro Wilson, doo right, and a rotating clan of old school nashville politicians, doctors, etc. They would meet at vandy land or le peep. I had the pleasure of joining my dad a few times and can't tell you how funny and interesting their tall tales were, especially the filthy grandpa jones stories. My father passed away a couple of years ago, so not sure if they still do it.

Friend of mine was friends with George. She said when he put the hat on he was Goober, when he took it off he was George. Very smart and giving person. RIP George.
