Good article by Ivan Maisel

Basically what this article says is what many on this board said was the Gators being "scared". The Gators were not scared, they were realistic that in the midst of learning a very different and complex offense it is difficult to be efficient and proficient with the ball. The Gator offense will only get better, and as displayed tonight you can win with defense in the SEC. I think the vols need to find an offensive leader and get a offensive identity from him. The vols have alot more explaining to due about their offensive woes than the Gators at this point. Wouldn't you agree?

It depends. All in all, I think both offenses have a lot to answer for.

We did some good things. Ainge showed he can still move the ball well, our coaches just need to quit doing this damned 2 QB system and keep him in. Riggs finally brought out the physical running style we all know and love, but did not run nearly enough.

Florida's offense also did some things well. I was impressed with the fact that Urban switched to ball control and still won. I think you guys missed all of one 3rd down conversion all night, extremely impressive. But the Gators also did a poor job of converting yardage into points.

Gators did what they had to do and what was given to them. UT had a top 5 DL and UF rushed just enough to take the pressure off of Leak.

Take the pressure off of leak? Leak was on his butt the whole game.

What was so strange to me was that Leak looked better to me when he was in 3rd and long and everybody knew that he was going to throw.

It gave him a lil more time to throw...the spread option wasn't great..but it served its purpose with the threat of it being there.

I thought this game was dead even all night. It even looked at times like Tennessee was a clearly faster and more talented team. I think we made about 4 or 5 major mistakes that Florida took advantage of. Even with those mistakes, we still might have been able to win, but the offense just sputtered all night.

Unfortunately, playing against our offense will do that for you. :(

UT's O just needs to stick with one QB and get back to basics of running to set up the pass...they have alot of weapons.

Urban Meyer's offense was a little better then average last night.

It was what Utah ran but very watered down because Leak was having tons of pressure on him and that option play won't work against bigger, faster players at the RATE it worked at Utah.

UF won the game because of great defense...more credit it to them...that is what wins games.

But Meyer showed nothing to the hype he had on him from an offensive perpective.
