Good female artists?

I was looking thru my cd collection the other day and noticed that the only cd I have with a female fronting the band is Janis Joplin. Are there any other female artists out there that I am missing that guys can get in to?

As far as a collection goes, I would include Heart. Ann Wilson has some of the best pipes in the business. If you like Janis Joplin you might try listening to some of Melissa Etheridge's older stuff.
