14 rushes for 61 yrds and 8 catches for 58 yrds. It still blows me away how Houston could not draft this guy!

Houston passing on Bush is the type of decision that can curse a franchise. I think that may have already come true, didn't Houston's starting back get injured in the preseason? Talk about a sign from God...

It had to be a purely economic move, because from a football standpoint, it made no sense.

yup Davis is injured (I remember him causing us major problems at LSU). Houston tried to make the "smarter choice." Turns out to look more like a "bad idea."

Houston needs all the help they can get on defense.

A glorified Brian Westbrook won't help their defense. Mario Williams is a step in the right direction for their defense if he turns out to be a Jevon Kearse or Dwight Freeney.

I think part of it is because Kubiak, the new head coach is from Denver. They have a history of plugging anyone in the backfield and being successful. But, I agree with you, no way I take Mario Williams over Bush.

I think it also had a large part to do with that NFL agent scandal Bush was involved in. The free house and such.

Williams didn't do much yesterday, but Tom Jackson was raving about their rookie LB, DeMeco Ryans. Once they get that defense in line through the draft and free agency in the next couple of years, then they can worry about their offense and maybe sign or draft someone like Westbrook or Bush if that's what they want.
