Only consistent player on this team. I feel bad for Coach Martin having to coach a bunch of guys who are scared to play on the road. No sense of urgency at all except for Maymon. Guess its hard to break the lazy habits Pearl set up his last couple of years.

Stokes played well too. Would have a double-double if he had played the first half.

Kids gotta be smarter to start games. It's been clear the last few games the scout is to go right at him and try and draw fouls. It'll come though, 2nd half was impressive.

Maymon had some TO's, but he gave better effort than 2 or 3 guys, combined. He shouldn't have to handle the ball as much as he does anyway. None of our guards want it. Jordan acts like he does, but thats because he can get a bit delusional at times. I about go into cardiac event mode when I see him out there dribbling and just dangling the ball out there away from his body.

Maymon seemed a little shaky with the ball in his hands at times, but I agree he always comes to play.
It amazes me how he'd get matched up with Randolph down low and wed make no effort to get him the ball.

Our guards all need to go through some intense dribbling classes. All of them, golden especially, dribble the ball up by their freaking chest. This is elementary stuff, the lower you are to the ground dribbling the harder it is to steal.

Gah.

Why our guards still refuse to give Maymon and Stokes the ball down low is beyond me. Not sure what goes through their heads.

Really? I think its time that we as a fan base stop blaming all of our problems on past coaches. Everything thats currently wrong with our football and basketball programs isn't all Fulmer and Pearl's fault. Its been over 3 years since Fulmer was here, and blaming Pearl is even more ridiculous. We're 2 years removed from an elite 8 appearance under Pearl. That team wasn't lazy was it?

They were until January 1st and if that didn't happen, they probably would have been lazy the entire year.

This. If you think Pearl's last few teams weren't lazy then you weren't watching the same team I was.
