Although it leaves them short handed, it might just be a blessing in disguise. Tyler pressed the issue too much and all we'll miss from him is defense. Brian Williams just took up space. Tatum and Goins hurt a little.

But the Vols went out and drilled Charlotte, as just about none of us would have predicted, getting significant production from understudy players forced to perform under maximum pressure. They did it, and things look markedly better now than they did just 24 hours ago.

I think this current squad better resembles the scrappy team that Pearl first inherited. They seem to play harder, and play more as a team. Of course, this is the observation after just 1 game. We'll find out on Sunday!!!
