Ok, I am an odd music lover.

I listen to EVERYTHING.

Lately, I like Simple Plan's new CD.

I enjoy Saliva's new cd...including after me

Gotta like the new DMB song "American Baby." CD has got some other good stuff on it: more political than ever, though. . . .

Jump Little Children: "Rains in Asia," "Mexico"
Anna Nalick: "Breathe (2 am)"
Reckless Kelly: "Wicked Twisted Road" (maybe too twangy for your liking)

Well. . . . coming from a musician, you have no right to post a "music" thread, then. Go on listening to your ignorant BS that Top 40 throws your way. Wanna hear something real. . . .passion, emotion, talent, and REAL songwriting -- pick up Dave and Time Reynolds, Live From Luther College, dim the lights, and prepared to be blown away.

Dave Matthews is good. I'm not a big fan of his voice, but the music is great. And the DMB drummer is amazing.

I know you said no country but you gotta give Shooter Jennings a try. He is the son of Waylon Jenings and had a rock band in L.A. for about six years called Stargunn. Now he is doin the country thing again, but his music sounds more like something you would hear from John Mellancamp. It's real addicting! Go to his website to find out more about him and check him out.

I don't agree with the politics, but I like some of DMB's music. His version of "all along the watchtower" is very good (but it ain't Jimi).

Um... There is a Pepsi commercial with Hendrix on it, and it's Purple Haze.
