The coaching staff spent the second half with the recruits which is why they were unavailable to try to stop Alabama or score on them.
:salute:

I actually do think this will go down as a good recruiting weekend even though we got manhandled. I really really really wish that Hunter or Milton could have made the connection and gotten the good final note for Bray that the staff was scripting.

The coaches sure missed a lot of tackles.

I have not heard any real good news. The offensive line took a step forward.

We do not play another team we match up as horribly against as Alabama talent wise.

We have a small chance against South Carolina and should win the rest of our games.

Bray should turn into a very good QB and be able to win against most of the opps we would get with 6 wins...

hey look on the bright side this will probably go down as the worst tennessee team ever and there is always next year. We will be back.

Recruits should see the opportunity for early playing time, what with our lack of depth.

We will get there. I have to say that when Chaney called the fly sweep twice in a row I almost got sick. G Jones gained some yards and then lost 5 yards the next time he ran it. Missing tackles when Bama ran the bubble screens was just flat out unaccecptable this far into the season. Then we had to call a timeout because J. Jones was wide open and we had ten out there AGAIN. I have been a lifelong vol fan and will always be a vol fan! I can't believe that our secondary continued to get beat by the same guy over and over again. They seem to play really soft out there. We did get pressure on the QB a little more tonight. Oh well, this year is what it is and I can't wait to the vols are back and we have more talent and depth. True Vol fan!

I thought at the time that the first one was to set up a pass by Jones on the second one, but who knows -- if so, it was blown up before anything could develop.

I think there's hope for the future because I've read some things from some recruits that tell me they're more football savvy than some of our fans. What they hopefully saw again tonight once again was a very young, overmatched team who needs depth (another long 2nd half) and speed (i.e. Trent Richardson's long TD run). I think some of these guys know that they will contribute immediately if they come here and will be part of a team that has depth and speed; and with the effort this year's team has shown, could be part of the programs turnaround to natinal prominance. The last thing you sell them on is that if that happens, the Tennessee fans will remember there names forever and place them in the Hall of Football Gods. I'd do it in a heartbeat, but then again, I'm biased.

I bet the coaching staff will also talk about this team (hopefully positively on an undefeated run) and the on-field discipline issues in terms of working with 1st graders. You want to teach them Trig to counter SEC talent but they're still working on multiplication tables.
