Thinking about Palardy and what he has done for our team this year. It is no easy feat to be both the field goal, punter and kickoff kickef. I remember when there was a time we won a couple of games de strictly to our punter changing the field! Thinging that was around 03/04. Guess as with that year our MVP would have to be our kicker.

Wasn't it the same guy serving as PK / P in the '01 SECCG that kept us in that game by winning the field position battle?

This also brings up a great question...wiht 27 commits already on the plate, who is going to do the kicking duties next year? I don't think we are currently recruiting for that position? Walk-on? Someone already on the roster?

One of those commits happens to be the number 1 kicker in the country

I remember chuckling at one of the call in shows after a game where the caller commented we one the game because our punter kept penning them deep. Our offense and defense pkayed poorly that game. Can't remember if it was obe of the Colquits or Leaverton tho.

2003 against USCjv. Dustin pinned them deep consistently the whole game. Holtz even said

(on UT's punter, Dustin Colquitt): "Their punter was unbelievable," said Holtz. "He changed field position all night long. In my entire coaching career, I don't think I've seen a punter change the game like he did."

It was the 03 Miami game and it was Dustin Colquitt. His punting that day played a major role in us getting that win and Kellen Winslow's subsequent "solja" rant.

Palardy did this on Sat even though he had had back spasms all week! He's the only reason we didn't get shut out for the first time since 1994!
