Do you hate the Wildcats?

I mean, really, really hate them a lot?

As in another 26 in a row wouldn't quench your hatred?

If you don't hate them. Try visiting the state of Kentucky for a few weeks. You will learn to hate the Wildcats more than you ever dreamed was possible. They will stoop to any level to hate on the Vols. (For instance they will call you up on the phone to gloat five minutes after you lose to Florida.) At times, I wonder if they hate Tennessee more than they actually love their own team.

I got so much joy out of beating them 26 years in a row and Derek Dooley just threw all that in the garbage and said, "It was good for us to hit bottom." My hatred for Dooley is surpassed only for my hatred of the Wildcats.

I hate their fans so much that I actually enjoy it when we would win in some painful way (2001, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009) so that their anguish is magnified by a false sense of almost. I also relish it when they see us as down, have their hopes up, and we beat the snot out of them (2005, 2008, 2010). And of course, best of all, is when we are just awesome and dominate their butts (1993-2000) and they realized the futility and hopelessness of their football program's very existence.

I just hate 'em. I wish their demise.

I love hating other teams with a passion. It's part of what makes being a fan so great, especially in the SEC. However, my hatred for Kentucky runs far deeper come basketball season. It's all Alabama, Florida, and Georgia during football season and it's Kentucky, Vandy, and Florida in basketball.

UK football is way down on the list of teams that I hate. You have to pity them more than anything since UK puts more into it's BB program than football.

Hating Kentucky football is about the same as rooting against a kid running in the Special Olympics. I hate some teams, but I really enjoy loathing specific coaches... Meyer, Frank Beamer, etc.

Lately I have started to hate South Carolina more and more. It's hard to hate Kentucky the most out of the SEC teams because they have been so irrealavent for so long ... not to mention they don't have James Franklin that would instantly put them up there on the list.

Why don't you just tell us how you really feel?:zeitung_lesen:

Yeah I have always thought of Kentucky fans like being the dumbest kids with down syndrome.....but I also think that Vandy fans are the smartest fans with down syndrome.....go figure right?

I hate Kentucky so much it must be unhealthy. There fans drive me insane. Everytime they lose a game it's the refs fault. They gloat non-stop. I have been in a few arguments with UK fans about football only to have them mention thier 8 titles in basketball. Living in Nicholasville means I am surrounded by them.

Florida...I HATE the gators. No other team, not Bama, nor Georgia, or even Spurier himself can come close.
They are the ONLY team in all of sports that I actively root for their opponents.

(I hate Shawn White too, but for different reasons)

I visit Kentucky all the time and I've never heard Wildcat fans bash the Vols like the Florida, Georgia and Bama fans do. I would say KY is at the bottom of my list as far as hatred goes.

Wow. You are awesome. Haha. You summed this up all too perfectly. I live in Louisville, so UK fans have caused me to hate the 'Cats more than any other sports team or franchise. Their fans make scum look admirable and classy.

And you know what, I'm glad you're willing to admit your hatred for Dooley!! Because you know what? I CAN'T FORGIVE HIM EITHER for ruining that amazing streak we had. I could always say to UK fans, "Let's talk about football" and they would be forced to shut the hell up. Every time. But Dooley made sure to take that away from me, too.

From everywhere I've lived in KY, they don't care about football much. It is pretty much just basketball. Their main rival is Louisville, not us. I don't really hate UK, just not a fan. I worked there a few years so I guess that took away some of the hate. I view UK football the same as I would any team not named Florida or Alabama.
