Explain that to Bush, he's the one who was trying to pass it off on Clinton. Also, it was geared more towards Bush not even knowing what was going on with the price of oil.if you can please explain the role the President has in the price of fuel, you and Jon might have a point.
We can't drill for our own, we can't build new refineries and the government makes nearly 10 times what the oil companies make on a gallon of gas.
It is definitely hypocritical. I will give you that. Is it out of norm for politics? Not in the least. I would imagine that Obama and HRC are informed on an almost daily basis as to what their talking points should be, that day, to that audience.Explain that to Bush, he's the one who was trying to pass it off on Clinton. Also, it was geared more towards Bush not even knowing what was going on with the price of oil.
Come on MG, do you seriously think that Bush and Cheney have absolutely nothing to do with the Big Oil industry now? What about Iraq? Don't you think that's contributing to the high prices?
if you understand capitalism, you'll understand supply and demand. The booming markets of China and India coupled with a weak dollar are driving oil prices through the roof.
You can play the Bush/Cheney/Big Oil conspiracy card all you want, but unless you can prove that they're behind the worldwide (yes, everybody is paying that much for oil) spike in crude oil pricing, you should find a more intellectually honest criticism.
It is the left/environmentalist that have block the building of new oil refineries in the U.S. for the past 32 years not to mention blocking the drilling for oil in Alaska. Both sides shoulder the blame.
