I didn't see this posted yesterday and thought it was worth discussing. I know feelings are mixed on PFF, but twelve rushes for 124 yards and 3TDs are video game numbers. Not to mention three catches for 29 yards. I'm hoping for a big year from him.

He looks very similar to him in running style too. Pretty sure I read somewhere before last year he tried to model his game after Kamara. Could be mistaken though.
Absolutely. Not sure if it was Sampson. Definitely remember one of the running backs studying Kamara’s video though

Yeah I cant 100% recall if it was Sampson but like 99% sure. He’s from Louisiana so wouldn’t be surprised if he looks up to Kamara since he’s on the saints. He even wears the tape on his arms like Kamara. Hopefully Sampson has the same success in the league as Kamara.

Make it three big games in three starts for Tennessee running back Dylan Sampson, who continued his emergence as a star for the Vols with his stellar performance in the blowout win against NC State. Yet even after he played a major role in the 14th-ranked Vols beating the 24th-ranked Wolfpack by 41 points, the junior was bemoaning all the points the offense left on the field on a night when they kicked three field goals and never quite hit top gear. Sampson had a big hand in the success the Vols did have, totaling 169 scrimmage yards and scoring two touchdowns in the 51-10 victory.

LSU dropped the ball on him. After his freshman year and seeing how electric he was, I was expecting him to go back home.

Thank you clipping the one relevant paragraph. One thing I hate about most of their articles is the copy paste four paragraph intro of the game and four paragraph summary of the next game. 😉

I wasn’t sure going into the season, but if the first two games are any indication, this will be D-Samp’s last season as a collegiate player. Soak it up, folks!

He’s a beast. And there’s a lot of other talent available in the RB room. If the offensive line can continue opening up the holes they have these last two games, we will have a monster season by land and air.

Sampson will likely be a high round NFL draft choice if he keeps racking up big numbers.
