Their financial backing sure didn't change Obama's mindset about cracking down on them, huh?. In other words, if they thought they were buying him, they were wrong.

You completely missed the point. You paint Wall St as the devil (if you even believe in the devil), but have no problem taking their money. Sounds like a conflict of some sort.

Obama was bought by the banks, unions, fringe groups. This man has been on his knees longer than a Clinton date.

It's absurd to pretend that looking out for the working man hypocrisy is the realm of the Rs. Most make no bones about te fact that they believe in all boats responding to a rising tide. The divisiveness over socioeconomics is absolutely at the heart of the liberal platform.

i think he is arguing that obama doesn't bow to his donors. of course it was the private equity, hedge funds, and his goldman bros that gave by far the most money to obama during hte election and he hasn't done anything to regulate those people and those people need more regulation.

Democrats - caring about the workin' man

Democrats have dominated Wall Street's fund-raising circles in recent elections. Mr. Obama himself raised millions of dollars from employees of Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Citigroup Inc., J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and other Wall Street firms.

During the 2008 campaign, Mr. Obama received nearly $15 million in donations from people who worked in the securities and investment industry, according to the CRP data. Employees of Goldman Sachs donated nearly $1 million to his campaign. By contrast, Mr. Obama's Republican opponent, Arizona Sen. John McCain, received $8.7 million from the securities and investment sector, according to the data.

the guys who gave him the big money at citi are gone (prince, weill, rubin), so the only person obama is theroretically screwing who gave him money is jamie dimon (who is well known to have obama's ear).

Did you miss the part that for the last several election cycles it has been the Dems that have been go after Wall St. $ (presumably at the detriment to the workin' man)?

His implied Republican slogan of "caring for the workin' man" couldn't be more disingenuous. The R party has always been the party of "all boats climb on a rising tide." The D crowd has always been the classist crowd claiming that the wealthy have become so solely at the expense of the working class.
