Daniel Hannan is a member of the British Conservative Party and is the one that warned the U.S. of the problems with Obamas Healthcare plan. Hannan is a very smart man.

After listening to the last debate, I think you're right, he seems to be a moderate. What will be interesting is to see how the Conservatives, and the Liberal Democrats work together.

Pardon my ignorance on the topic of the Queen. What would have occurred if the Queen didn't extend an invitation? She's more than not just an ceremonial ambassador, correct?

i'm fairly sure she cannot refuse an invitation under the law, but that still doesn't make it laughable that they even go through this charade.

I gotcha. I was almost fairly certain that she didn't have the power to refuse David Cameron. It's a bit wild the emphasis they put on the Queen.
